My God I've Got a Lot of Hair
Ok. I did it. I called my hair bitch Saturday morning and claimed it was an emergency (it was -- family pictures are today and he doesn't work on Sunday) and he fit me in. When I showed him the pictures I liked he laughed and said "Honey, that isn't you. You have a lot more hair than she does. And,d well, you won't do the work to make what you have look like that" But he promised me that he'd do something that looked good and wasn't too wild. And then he cut me bangs. Um, I haven't had bangs for 6 years. I was in shock for quite a while. Maybe it was good that he didn't go too radical. As it was I stumbled out of the salon. I'm still not sure what I think.
There was so much hair on the floor after he was done. I think I hyperventilated a bit. I'm not sure if it was from all the hair on the floor, or from all the hair missing from my head. Or, maybe, it was because of the bangs. I know that when I went home Kristin was not gushing with the praise. She just kept saying, "you have bangs! You have bangs! Maybe you should clip those back or something." So I did. Which do you think looks better?
Now that it's been a few days, I'm convinced that this haircut looks much better than what I had before. And even Kristin (now that she's recovered from the shock of bangs) thinks it looks attractive. But still, don't you think it looks a little more "Mid-30's Soccer Mom" than "Hot-to-Trot Dyke Who Would Devastate the Dating Scene If She Weren't So Deeply In Love With Her Equally Hot Partner-- Damn Them for Being Monogamous."?

I really like it! Um, I think I like it a wee bit better with the bangs down, but it looks great both ways. And it looks like it will grow out gracefully, so you won't have to rush back to get it fixed every time it grows half an inch (I know people with that kind of high-maintenance haircut and it just seems like a big hairdresser conspiracy to me).

I love LOVE the new cut! It looks very hip & sassy. I think the bangs up is nice for every day - especially in the summer! But the bangs down somehow looks more elegant & special- maybe b/c it is such a different look for you.

I love it! It looks fantastic. And versatility is good - having the bangs/no bangs option is great. The piecey bangs are very fun, but the pulled back look is elegant. It can take time to get used to a new 'do, but I bet you'll end up loving it. Enjoy!

I don't think it looks soccer mum. I think with your fringe clipped to the side you look like a saucy femme who is a little bit bookish, but wild once you get those glasses off. How's that analogy working for you?

Love the cut. Especially love the way the bangs combined with the shorter length frame your face, lifting it up, showing off your beautiful eyes. Hair Bitch knows his client and he knows his craft. Great do!
