I would love to know which eleven instruments you play, if you feel like sharing.

You and I have the same number of ear piercings. Do you have 2 and 3 or some other combo?

Bri -- I have 2 in each of my lobes and one in the side of my right ear.

Lo -- I play (in order of learning) Clarinet, Bass Clarinet (the one that has a low of concert b flat), Bassette Horn (a clarinet that is in between the typical b flat clarinet and the bass) Tenor Sax, Bari Sax, Alto Sax, Bassoon, Oboe, Piano, Recorder (I'm sure you're laughing, but it is a real instrument and does require some skill to play well) Flute (still learning this one) Both my junior and senior high music teachers had big aspirations and I never found a wind instrument that I couldn't learn to play, so they were pretty excited, pulling out some pretty dusty instruments and the music that went with them and letting me spend rehearsal time learning them. I was in the marching band, the concert band, the jazz band, the orchestra. I started playing with the high school orchestra when the high school music teacher came to talk to our junior high class (I was in the 8th grade) and saw me with my bassoon -- the next week I was up practicing with the "big kids" and in the 10th grade I started playing in the University of Utah's wind symphony.
Fun, but a lot of pressure and stress for someone as shy as I.

Trista Trista Trista......not only am I not laughing, but (until college) I thought I was the president, secretary and janitor of the Recorder is A Real Instrument Club. I LOVE the recorder, and I play (I play flute too, because when I was a kid they made me learn a Real Instrument. Grrrrrrr. My mom plays recorder, too). I was a natural at the flute -- I got a sound of it the first time I picked one up which impressed everyone -- but not so natural (and thus being me, not so patient) with the reed instruments or the trumpet-y instruments). My flute embouchure is instinctive (go figure).

So now I'm laughing, but not for the reason you thought. hee hee hee.
